Best time to visit
October to March suits Hampi and Mysore, avoiding the pre-monsoon heat. Coorg is pleasant for much of the year given its altitude, though the June-to-September monsoon brings heavy rain that some travellers still enjoy for the greenery. Bengaluru's mild climate makes it comfortable across most of the year.
How many days do you need
Hampi alone rewards two full days given how spread out the ruins are. Mysore is a comfortable one to two days. Coorg, given the drive in, wants two to three days to be worth the journey. A rounded Karnataka trip combining all three, plus Bengaluru at either end, runs to around a week to ten days.
