Delhi

A family version of India's most popular first-time circuit: Delhi's monuments and markets, the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, and Jaipur's Amber Fort and Hawa Mahal, spread across a longer, gentler schedule than the standard adult version, with pool time and rest built in rather than treated as an afterthought.
We plan around what genuinely holds children's interest — elephants and monkeys at Amber Fort, the scale of the Taj Mahal, bazaar smells and colours in Jaipur — rather than a checklist of monuments.
- Amber Fort can be visited by jeep or on foot rather than by elephant, if you would prefer to avoid elephant rides — tell us your preference.

Best season and starting point
Typically six to eight days for the three cities at a family pace, longer than the standard four-to-five day adult version. Best October to March; April to June's heat is genuinely difficult with children.
What age is this suitable for?
Roughly six and up works best, given the walking and car time involved. Younger children can manage it with a slower pace, but we generally suggest Kerala instead for toddlers.
Is the Taj Mahal interesting for children?
Most children are genuinely struck by its scale and the story behind it, especially with a guide who can bring the history to life for their age.
How much walking is involved?
Moderate — Amber Fort and Agra Fort both involve uneven ground and some steps, though we can adjust the route to minimise this if needed.
Can we skip the elephant option at Amber Fort?
Yes — we can arrange jeep or walking access instead, whichever you prefer.
