Khatu Shyamji and Salasar Balaji in a weekend
Khatu Shyamji, near Sikar in Rajasthan, draws pilgrims year-round and in particularly large numbers during the Khatu Shyamji fair (Falgun, around February–March). This two-day plan covers darshan there plus a stop at the Salasar Balaji temple, both manageable from Delhi or Jaipur as a short private trip rather than a long pilgrimage circuit.
How far is Khatu Shyamji from Delhi and Jaipur?
About 4–5 hours by road from Delhi, and around 2.5 hours from Jaipur.
Is this tour very crowded?
It depends on timing. Outside the annual Khatu Shyamji fair (Falgun, roughly February–March) it is manageable; during the fair, expect very long queues and crowds.
Can an overnight stay be added?
Yes — this is quoted as a day-return plan by default, but we can add a night near Khatu Shyamji or Sikar if you would rather not do both legs in two days.

3/51 week agoMixed feelings. The sites were spectacular and the driver excellent, but our guide's English was harder to follow than we expected and we missed some of the detail. The office apologised quickly when we mentioned it.

5/51 month agoThe food stops were the surprise star. Our guide took us to a family-run place for thali that we would never have found alone, and explained every dish. Not a single upset stomach in six days.
